On Saturday, the OS artists were able catch up with one another as well as warmly welcome this year’s newbies, those artists who are new to the scheme of which there are nearly 20. This was an important event set up by the committee (led by chairman, Lisi Ashbridge) for this years artists to meet at St. Mary’s Church in Marlborough and proof read the artists’ profiles before they go to print. The day went with a swing and a jolly time was had by all. The new look brochure is taking shape and the artists’ profiles, which are bigger and better than ever before look stunning! This year’s brochure also has a ‘quick glance’ key on the index page to let everyone know when the artist’s studio will be open – no more flicking through pages en route!
Once the artists signed off their artwork it was the perfect opportunity to check up on everyone else’s profile and see this year’s calibre, which of course, is marvellous. During this time Michael Angove, (vice chairman) gave group tutorials to the newbies on how to put on a great show including hints and tips on signage, etiquette, professionalism and pricing. All of this information can be found in the members area.
Stuffed on chocolate fingers, we had a raffle for the Easter eggs. Wendy Trinder was this year’s winner, congratulations!
Here are pictures from the event, see you all at the Preview Show in May.
