The love of my native chalk downland and its ancient history, plus past years of study in the life drawing room, somehow combine to produce the work I do. I use a range of stone, marble, alabaster, steel, bronze and jesmonite for both corporate and private clients, and enjoy turning the small into the tall. About my working practice I have found, after the initial flash of inspiration, come the deepening insights, through time, which are often surprising and wonderfully confirming. My intention for any piece is that it be an attempt to convey a sense of harmony into its place.
Two slabs of Travertine limestone dominate my work this year, still in progress!
There will also be some new and some familiar smaller bronze and cold-cast pieces too.
Also there is a blog about the Cipher Wave sculpture under the 'Commissioning an Artist' page.
