Melissa Cole
Melissa Cole is an established artist blacksmith with over 30 years experience. Her work is inspired by the traditional making techniques of her craft and designs are combined with playful interpretations of natural forms. Alongside her commissioned work, she creates unique forged sculptures for the house and garden that flow with a distinct style and rhythm.
Working with steel, wrought iron, stainless steel and bronze. Melissa works to commission throughout the year with notable pieces in public spaces including Hampton Court Palace, Oxford City centre, Malmesbury, Plymouth and Chippenham.
Melissa teaches beginner, improver and specialist SEN tailored 'Blacksmithing and Creative Metalwork' courses from her forge near Pewsey and was previously a short course tutor at West Dean College.
Private commissions are taken and sculptural pieces are on display at various exhibitions and her studio throughout the year.
Late afternoon/early evening open studio from 4-6pm Friday 12th & 19th July 2024
