Rosemary Farrer
Some of my earliest memories are of being outside immersed in nature and just drinking it in. My landscape and still life paintings are also a way of having this communion. I spend a lot of time exploring and, with a sketch book, planning what to paint, there are many practical hurdles to overcome before I can find a landscape. Painting outside is challenging in many ways. I think my training and emphasis on drawing as well as my understanding of colour, help me to be ready when I find the right subject.
I studied fine art at Camberwell School of Art and The Ruskin School of Drawing and have exhibited at many galleries both in Britain and Europe, as well as, several times, at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
My studio is in the garden and I will also be showing work in the house.
This year I will be sharing my studio with Lisi Ashbridge.

From Pewsey or Marlborough enter the village and turn left just before the canal bridge, from Alton cross the canal bridge and take the first right. There is some parking on the track. Please do not park opposite No 44 as it restricts their access, many thanks.
