I am delighted to welcome you to my beautiful light filled studio in historic Parnella House overlooking Devizes Market Place. Parnella House is home to White Horse Arts - an arts initiative for Devizes. My work explores self connection through emotional awareness and mindful pause. Life is busy and finding the quiet moments is hard. Using yin yoga and deep listening techniques, I have found ways to calm my mind and connect to myself and the world around me. Links to emotional and physical landscapes are built through layering techniques, allowing the paint and materials to speak their language. Words are often included - - thoughts from journals - sometimes written into the work and painted over, and slowly typed text is also incorporated. Collage, poetry, photography and film also feature. Last year I finished an MA with Falmouth University resulting in a solo show in Bath and I am delighted to bring both older work and new explorations to my home studio.

Parnella House is just along from the Black Swan Hotel in the Market Place, Devizes if travelling towards Wadworths Brewery. It has a bright yellow door. My studio is on the second floor and will be clearly signed as I am sharing the building with other Marlborough Open Studios artists.
