Anya Hope Medlin

As a lifelong explorer or forests and wild places, Anya's photography is the culmination of decades of observation plus the belief that nature can profoundly affect and mirror the emotional landscape of the viewer. To bridge these two worlds, her work often uses mist and light as transformational tools to create compositions and moods that allow imagination, memory and dreams to surface and explore the stories held by ancient trees, tracks and forgotten corners of the landscape. By perceiving the ordinary as sacred, Anya's hope is to remind others of the sense of peace and enchantment that comes from a strong connection not only to nature but to our own stories that we become reminded of.

I am sharing a space with Nettie B Brown, a botanical artist, at her home in Pewsey. Enter the property via the double coach house gates and you will then be able to browse a selection of Nettie's concrete botanical casts on the house walls. Through the main front door are two of Nettie's galleries and a workshop to the left and further along the house to the right my work will be displayed in the far end room. This can be reached via the main door and house or by French doors further along the path.
