I describe myself as a contemporary realist painter.
My work evolves from observations of life and is highly
detailed, created with mixed media usually with a basis
of watercolour and gouache and heightened with
watercolour pencils. My subject matter and narrative
is not derived from “views” but a visual scrutiny of light,
textures, colours and details which combine to create
an atmosphere beyond the recording of a scene. I will
be displaying original paintings and prints.
