Martin Cobb
Angles, geometric shapes and diverse phenomena from science and mathematics make a bedrock of inspiration for my work. These elements are often incorporated as clashing monochrome into fields of apparently random colour. Some more recent works, still classed as paintings, also feature a weave.
Works are produced in as sustainable a way as feasible, using board offcuts from building processes, and where possible some reclaimed paint and repurposed fittings.
An exploration which strides in no one single direction.
