Mel Edwards

Mel Edwards has been creating a wide range of ceramic designs for everyday use and with unusual glazes since 2015. After finishing an evening ceramics course at a local college, she immediately went on to find a second-hand potter’s wheel and kiln. Since then, Mel has not stopped creating wheel thrown ceramics and particularly loves to make something bespoke for clients. Mel thrives on creating Raku pieces, often picking out elements from nature to create unique pieces of art.
Mel has found quite a demand for her pottery online selling far and wide (PotsAboutPottery) and now as a resident artist at The Corsham Gallery.
Mel works from her home studio, which is actually the conservatory! She is currently on the look out for a space to rent or purchase so that she can teach and hold workshops using the pottery wheel and hand-building methods. If you are interested in lessons, please sign up via email.

If you are coming from the north (Devizes/Pewsey Road), turn off the main Vale road sign posted All Cannings, go over the canal bridge then pass two large houses and look for the red sign on the left saying Pavilion Studio. Go through the gate and park near the studio. From the south go past both entrances to All Cannings on your left, there is a long brick wall on your left and as you get to the end of the wall the entrance to the studio is on your right.
